If you missed our last newsletter, we talked about the Health Circle also referred to as "whole health." Today we will be discussing one of the four key elements. Physical Health Physical health plays a crucial role in the circle of health. It's important to take care of oneself. Are you getting enough rest? Are you keeping an eye on your stress levels? Are you paying attention to your nutrition and establishing a healthy diet? Do you exercise for at least 30 minutes a day as part of your lifestyle? Does this improve flexibility and energy levels? Physical Activity To improve your physical health, take part in an activity you enjoy every day. Being active is one of the best medicines available to almost all people. Getting exercise on a daily basis can be fun, it can let you unwind and enjoy the outdoors, and it can bring you joy. TIPS:
Keep things interesting and fresh by mixing it up.
It is more likely that you will stick to it if you have a friend waiting for you.
Increase gradually to reduce your risk of injury and get rid of the kind of pain that makes you want to quit.
Getting outside can boost endorphin production and enhance mood.
Ask yourself these questions to assess this segment of your wellness wheel:
Is my sleep sufficient, and do I wake up rested?
Do I consistently eat nutritious meals to sustain my energy throughout the day?
Does my physical activity average 150 minutes per week.
Am I eating a balanced, nutritious diet?
Am I generally healthy?
Am I a healthy weight?
Friendly Reminder: Several factors contribute to your physical wellbeing: nutrition, exercise, rest, strength, endurance... so many things you already know!
